A healthy diet is vital for healthcare professionals because it supports the physical and mental demands of their work. Balanced nutrition provides sustained energy and focus during long shifts, helps manage stress, and strengthens immunity against illness. It also reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, ensuring long-term health and career longevity. Good nutrition enhances cognitive function and decision-making, which are essential for patient safety and effective care. Moreover, by maintaining healthy eating habits themselves, healthcare professionals serve as credible role models for patients, reinforcing the importance of nutrition in overall well-being.
